About

UNISON is the one of the recognised trade unions in Anglian Water to have its own dedicated branch. The purpose of the branch is to encourage, facilitate andsupport the range of UNISON activities at workplace and employer level with regard to issues common to all members (eg consultation, negotiation) and to provide services to both activists (eg training) and members (eg representation).

Branch officers are all UNISON activists and each has responsibility for a specific area ( eg training, health and safety, etc). – see details of the Branch Executive elsewhere on this site here. The branch covers the whole of the Anglian Water area. All UNISON members in Anglian Water automatically belong to the branch and it is through the branch that they are able to influence UNISON policy or access services beyond those that are provided by workplace representatives.

Branch meetings are held quarterly with an additional annual general meeting, usually in March, which is currently rotated around the Anglian Water region to tryand meet and engage with as many of our members as possible.
